Obituary

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Mrs. Dorothy Jo Carter transitioned to eternal rest on Friday, September 3. Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., at St. Mark Baptist Church, 1020 S. 2nd St., in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Homegoing services will be held on Sunday, September 12, 3:00 p.m., also at St. Mark Baptist Church with Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Roger Cutler, Eulogist.

Mother Dorothy will be laid to rest on Monday, September 13, 10:00 a.m., at Booker T. Washington Cemetery.

  1. We send our condolences to the Carter family. You all are in our hearts and prayers. Grandma Dorothy was so sweet and kind. I’ll always have memories of riding bikes to her house after church on Sunday. One of my fondest memories. Love to you all!
