The Life Of Mr. LaHarry Myers

On November 1, 1953, Johnny and Etta Mae Myers welcomed into the world their fifth and final child, they lovingly named him, LaHarry Myers.

LaHarry grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he attended Tulsa Public Schools graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in the Class of 1971. After graduation, he attended Tulsa Junior College pursuing a Certification in HVAC. He later became a licensed HVAC Mechanical Journeyman. LaHarry later found gainful employment with Oil Capital Sheet Metal and McBri Mechanical.

LaHarry loved God with all his heart. God was the head of his life and his family. He was a member of Varick Chapel AME Zion Church of Tulsa, OK under the leadership of Reverend Cecilia Thomas. He will truly be missed.

LaHarry, Sr. met and married Brenda Goff in 1982, who he shared 36 years of marital bliss until his demise. They were the proud parents of two children, Shala and LaHarry, Jr.
Although LaHarry was born in Tulsa, he loved the simple things in life, the country life. Laharry had many hobbies. He loved fishing, horseback riding and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He truly loved being a father and grandfather. He was truly excited about the fact that he would have is first grandson in May.

LaHarry was a member of the 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johhny and Etta Mae Myers; his siblings Dwight Myers and Johnny Myers, Jr.; only son, LaHarry Myers, Jr.; and father — in-law, Buck Calvin Goff. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 36 years, Brenda Goff Myers; daughter, Shala (Antonio) Andrews; grandchildren, Ryleigh Myers, La’Niyah Myers; his siblings, Dwayne Myers, Rohnny (Carolyn); Mother-in-law, Marie Goff; Brothers — in-law, Michael Goff, Montwain Goff, Mike (Robin) Washington; Sisters-in-law, Bridget Clardy, Bargine (Keith) Beverly, Margaret Alexander all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
