Mr. Wiley was such a good friend to me, he was the only man who could make me laugh out loud! At times I didn’t want to listen to his advice, because I thought he was old fashioned! But some of his advice was right , and I just didn’t want to hear the truth at the time!
Mr. Wiley always called me the “Painter”, so much that most of his family didn’t know my real name!
I was impressed when Mr. Wiley told me the story of his Navy ship being attacked, and how he helped save some lives, and he received a Purple Heart! Not many Black men can say that!
He always told me to keep trusting in God, and gave his tithes faithfully to a church down in the country!
I miss Mr. Wiley so very much, but knowing he’s in a better place, is comforting!
I salute you Mr. Wiley, and I Love and miss You!
