Obituary

Monday March 7, 1966 a bouncing baby girl, Stephanie, was born in Wagoner, OK to loving parents James and JoAnn Blandon. Finding love at a young age she spent most of her adult life traveling across the nation, in an 18-wheeler, with her truck driving husband David Lane until he retired.

Falling ill to kidney disease at age 45, she didn’t let that stop her faith in the Lord or dull her spirit. Stephanie continued to be a social butterfly with a decorative eye that she’d use to make arrangements and keepsakes for family and friends, making sure that she checked in on the ones that she loved and cared for. Stephanie was a very unique woman that is sure to be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents JoAnn and James Blandon, husband David Lane, Brother James Blandon III, sister Jamesetta Blandon, and brother-in-law Solomon Tariah.

Survivors include her siblings: Glentivous Young jr and Wife Kimberly, Yevette Tariah, Treva Blandon, Lakisha Blandon, Carla Mayberry, and Kent Mayberry. Hildegard Mayo(aunt), Michael Bell(uncle), Bishop QL Bell(uncle), Norma Jean Brown(aunt). Step daughters: Crystal Brown and Domeneik Lane. Grandsons: Carlos “Tank” Rhodes and Chris’Shawn “Bubba” Rhodes. Cousins: Demetricia Bell, Melissa Mayo, Victor Bell. Nieces and Nephews: Erefaa and Derego Tariah, Glentivous III, Sheena, Tyrell, Tanara, and Briana Young, Kissy Rome, Malcolm Russell, Caumpton Easily and Samuel Tariah. Great niece and nephew Erin “Daba” Scott and Dawari “Wawa Hercules” Clark. Best Friend: Nicole Freeman and a host of honorary nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved dearly.

Visitation for Mrs. Lane will be held on Friday, February 25, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 12:00 p.m., at New Degree Praise Center, 1920 N Kingston Pl, Tulsa, OK 74115.
