Obituary

Shirley Ann Mays was born on March 9, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the union of Nolen Manuel and Willie Mae (Fears) Manuel. She departed this life on Wednesday, April 29, 2024 at St. John Medical Center.

Shirley attended St Monica Catholic School.

Shirley enjoyed music, traveling, working on her ranch, and attending to her horses.

Shirley devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to loved ones until her death, passing away at the age of 80.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Mae (Fears) and Nolen Manuel, sisters Nolen Palmer and Helen Roberson. Husband Kenneth Mays. Daughter Cordelia Jones and sons Joaquin Jones and McKinley James. Grand sons Tyrick Jones and Renardo Joseph Wilson.

Memories will remain in the hearts of her brother Joe Manuel (Diana) of Tulsa Oklahoma, sister Barbara Jenkins (William) of Madera, California, daughters Sharon Manuel and Teresa Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma. 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17th at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home from 12pm-5pm.

Services will be held on Monday, May 20th at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home Chapel at 10am.

Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
