Obituary

On September 20, 1959, Roscoe and Roberta Verner had the pleasure to meet their bundle of joy that he chose to name him Roscoe Verner Jr. Roscoe was the third child of Roscoe Sr and Roberta Verner. Roscoe entered this world already full of life. As a child he he enjoyed sports, cars and hanging with family and friends. Roscoe was known most for hangin on that porch, Hitting a few Corners and definitely putting people out of his house. Roscoe was a character, you were for sure to have a good time when hanging with him. Roscoe will be missed by many, although he could sometimes be difficult to many, those of us whom knew and loved him understood that it was just his love language. Roscoe is survived by his ride or die wife of 34 memorable years Barbara Verner. This joined together 5 children: Taniecesha Williams-Kansas City, Ebony Hearns Kidd-Texas, Bridgette Hearns- California, Wesley Moment- Tulsa, Roscoe Verner III- Tulsa. Roscoe precedes in death Robert “Tony” Lawrence-brother, Bruce Lawrence-brother, Willie Thomas, Vern Thomas and James “Bowanna” Verner and the best father n law anyone could ask for Lewis Palmer Sr. He also leaves behind (3) sisters Erma Jean Buton- Tulsa, Marie Verner- Tulsa, Sheena Verner- Tulsa (3) brothers Jay Verner- Florida, Marcus Verner- Tulsa,Darrell Verner- Tulsa a Mother n law that stood by him to the end Gertie Palmer -Tulsa and host of niece, nephews family and friends. Roscoe will be missed by many and anyone who had an opportunity to be blessed with his presence were left with memories and we know you will miss him just as much as his family does.

Visitation for Mr. Verner will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 2pm-5pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home.

Services will take place on Friday, December 6th at 11am at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home.
