Obituary

On August 13, 1974, a beautiful baby girl, a fraternal twin was born to Carmen Green and Ozias Taylor in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The youngest twin was given the name Ozella Lavone Taylor and affectionately called “Muffin.”

At an early age Muffin became a member of Bethel A.M.E Church and eventually joined the YPD choir under the direction of Billy Joyce Brown. She sung soprano, which gave Muffin peace and kept a smile on her face. Muffin graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 1992. Muffin had a loved for beauty which lead her to Virgil’s Beauty College, where she graduated in 2005. In 2007, Muffin she attended Wright Business School with her twin where they obtained a degree in business. In 2012, Muffin attended Tulsa Tech where she received a certificate in Administration. In 2022, Muffin went back to beauty school to receive her certificate in being an esthetician and a nail tech.

Muffin was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 19. However, Muffin felt the effects of Lupus at a very young age. Through her Lupus diagnosis Muffin stayed strong, it did not stop her from living her life.

Although Muffin battled with health issues, she found joy in doing things like thrifting, doing hair and nails and spend her free time at the casino. Muffin made her family her top priority, always spending time with her family and she always kept her door open to anyone.

Muffin was a warrior, she fought her whole life. She held on as long as she could for her family. God wanted to finish his garden and he picked his beautiful rose on February 24, 2023.
