Obituary

Phyllis Thomas was born as Phyllis Steward On November 6th, 1947, Phyllis Steward was born to the proud parents James Steward Sr. & Hazel Steward. She was the “Baby” Girl of two children. Phyllis graduated from Booker T Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1964 and was a “Mighty Mighty Hornet”. She worked for many years as a data specialist at McDonald Douglass and a Collector at Calvary, until she retired in January 2012 . Phyllis got her wings and went to walk with the Angels on August, 20 2021, she was 74 years old. Phyllis Loved Gardening, Spending time with family, taking care of Princess (her dog), reading the Bible and going to Church. She also enjoyed watching movies & playing games on her phone. There were a lot of things Phyllis Loved to do, especially:

• Spending Time with Family – Phyllis would often go to Family gatherings, birthday celebrations, graduations, childbirth, etc. and she tried to attend them all. She made sure to always smile and uplift anyone she came in contact with.
• Bringing people to GOD – Phyllis Loved to Read and Talk about GOD. She always took time out to guide someone to the Word or share her testimony. One of her favorite scriptures is John 17:24, “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.”

Those remaining to cherish her precious memories are: Son: Herod ̈Junie ̈ Boyd Jr; Daughter: Teresa “Terri” Boyd; Two Grand Daughters: Cameo Boyd-Shumate (Mister), and Taniqua Boyd; Grandson DeVante Boyd; Great-Grandsons: Cameron Bullock & Cortlin Leblanc & Great- Granddaughter: Chanel LeBlanc; Brother: James  “Jimmy” Steward Jr; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and other loving relatives. Preceding her in death: Father: James Steward Sr.; Mother: Hazel Steward; Grandmothers: Lillian Steward & Willie Mae Madden and Three Uncles and One Aunt.
