Obituary

On September 29, 1979 after a long delivery Nakia Ruvell Johnson was welcomed into Janette Johnson and Earnest Maurice Chaplin, Jr. at the Hillcrest Hospital of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the first born to both of her parents.

Nakia was lovingly raised in Tulsa attending Alcott Elementary, Monroe Middle School and Margaret Hudson Program and Rogers High School graduating in 1998.

She was baptized at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.C. Potter.

Nakia was an entrepreneur at heart opening Nakia’s Daycare for many years. She later began a caregiver for the elderly. Nakia had a knack for crafting and creativity she often found herself refurbishing furniture. She had a crafty hands. Nakia she loved to have a good time, she would bring life to any party. She also enjoyed styling hair and traveling.

She blessed to successfully become a full-time mother, provider and friend to her six beautiful children, Xavier, Janiqua, Nakiyam Diamond, Roshawn and Treyshaw. She was a great friend to her children in which she loved and adored.

She was preceded in death by Earnest Maurice Chaplin; grandmother, Iretta Wilson; sister, Tenesha Chaplin; aunt, Loretta Crutcher,

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Janette Johnson of Tulsa, OK; her loving six children Xavier (Nisha) Johnson — OKC, Janique Johnson (Steven Frazier) — OKC, Nakiya Johnson (Jarred Holloway) Diamond Johnson, Roshawn Greer Johnson, Treyshawn Greer Johnson; Her five grandchildren, Xavier Johnson, Jr. — Houston, Texas, SaMarrie Frazier, Xariah Johnson, SaMiah Frazier, Elias Holloway- Paul’s Valley, OK, Her Siblings, Ella Johnson, Tarleace Johnson, Tylecia Johnson, Isabella Johnson, Armani Johnson, Raina Johnson, Angela Johnson, Marlon Lang, Dhonsjure Chaplin — Arizona, Vincent Chaplin (Micky) Oviedo, Andrew Chaplin; Aunts and Uncles, Glenda (Sam) Osei, Darryl Johnson, Tamisha Verner Ronnie, Tina Johnson – all of Tulsa, Tamarcia (Ronnie) Woodard, Joanna Chris Marshall, Timothy Wilson, Maternal Grandparents,William Johnson and Ruvell Myers- Johnson; Fraternal Grandfather, Earnest Maurice Chaplin, Sr. along with a host of nieces and nephews cousin and close friends
