Obituary
Mary Ann Walton was born March 19, 1954, to the late Willie D. and Lenora Walton in Texarkana, Texas. Mary’s family later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she graduated from Central High School. Mary was dedicated to spiritual and academic growth. She attended and graduated from Rhema Bible School and Northeastern State University.
A woman of great love, integrity, honor, and passion, Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, friend and laborer of Christ. She loved fervently and was passionate about her faith. Mary was a walking testament of how to love God and how we should love each other. She demonstrated this love as an active and dedicated member of Agape Outreach Ministry where she served with passion and compassion. Mary Ann’s membership began at Agape Outreach Ministry in 2012. The church continued to be an intricate part of her life.
She was an active part of their Leadership Team, serving as a dedicated Sunday School
Superintendent and prayer group Secretary. Mary Ann continued to serve actively as prayer Secretary, making her final prayer call on October 15, 2020. Mary Ann was loved and shared that love with those who crossed her path. Consequently, her dedication extended past the four walls of the church. Mary also served as a devoted board member with the Pursuit of Excellence Project.
On Friday October 16, 2020, Mary Ann Walton finished her work on the earth and made her transition to her new life. Her daughter DeWayna Cobb, mother Lenora Walton (Strickland) and father Willie D. Walton preceded her in death.
She leaves to continue her legacy; her children, Twytinna Gardner, Kelisha Fipps, Joseph Fipps, and Soroya Fipps, her beloved grandchildren Kanetra Jones, Corion Palmer, Jazzi Fipps, Zoë Gardner, Ricco King, Zamar Gardner, Brian Miller, and Joseph Fipps. Her siblings Andrew (Martha) Walton, Alberta Walton, Monroe Walton, Edward (Patricia) Walton, Wayde (Terrie) Walton, Lemorris Walton, Tyree (Stephanie) Walton, James Walton,

There Are No Words To Express Sorrow For The Loss Of A Mother. But Comfort And Consolation Comes From Having A Mother Who Was The Epitome Of Gods Love Not Just To Her Immediate Family But To All Whom She Embraced As Friends, Colleagues And Extented Brothers And Sister In Christ Jesus. My Sincere Condolences To The Family. Rest Assured As You Continue In The Upbringing And Pathway Which Your Mother Set Before You As An Example In Living A Godly Life You Shall See Her Again.
