Obituary
These are precious memories of a beautiful baby girl, born on May 17, 1967 to the proud parents, Helen Lyn Chaplin and Joel Riggins. She was the first child born to them both. They named her LaDonna Lashale Riggins, better known as Donna.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She grew up with love and guidance from a very loving family, her mother, her father, grandparents, brothers, sister, aunts, uncle and cousins.
For a while Donna, her mother and her two brothers and little sister lived in Wichita, Kansas. Later returning to Muskogee, Oklahoma where she finished her education and graduating from Muskogee High School in the Class of 1985.
She was devoted to her childhood sweetheart, Mr. Calvin Porter, the father of her two children, Kelvin and Kelishia.
Donna was a faithful and hard worker at any job she received. Her final jobs were with Muskogee Public Schools as a transportation bus aide and at Med Corp Plus Home Health until the Lord touched her and called her home to be with him.
If you needed transportation, she was always willing to help you get where you wanted to go and back to where you were. If you needed a listening ear, she was always willing and if you needed a place to live, she would help you look for your home.
Donna’s passion was garage sales, going to casinos and making sure her family was safe and well.
Meeting Donna at Heaven’s Gate will be her grandparents, Carl and Ednerine Chaplin and her loving stepfather,
Larry Scoggins.
