Obituary

On August 12, 1997 in Tulsa, Ok the Lord blessed Nitonjia Ibe and Halbert Scott with a beautiful baby girl and they named her Jada Nicole.

Jada was a member of Friendship Church and was baptized at an early age. She frequently visited Tulsa Mission Church with her great grandmother and family therefore; she definitely knew the Lord.

Jada attended Tulsa Public Schools and KIPP College Preparatory where she enjoyed playing basketball at both. She graduated with her Class of 2015 from Edison Preparatory School and then attended Rogers State College in Claremore, Ok before returning home to Tulsa in order to pursue her passion in cosmetology. She was a self-taught hair stylist and enjoyed makeup artistry while working at Bama and Sam’s Club.

On September 16, 2019 the Lord called his daughter Jada Nicole Scott home joining her maternal great grandfather Hubert Marshall Jr. and paternal grandparents Herbert Marshall Jr. and Annette Scott who are Gone but not Forgotten.

Jada leaves to cherish her beautiful smile and lots of memories: her parents Nitonjia Ibe and Halbert Scott; brothers (2): Marco Vann and Rashaen Jamison; sisters (2): Nashon Stone and Hailey Jamison; maternal grandparents Ambrose Mure and Kathy Mure; maternal great grandmothers Doris Mure and Joyce Marshall; honorary grandparents Jeff and Sandra Brooks; uncles (3): Ambrose Ibe, Damon Ervin, Chris Scott; aunts (4): Crystal Davis, Marla Grant, Regina Madden (Chris) and Tasha Ervin; niece Ja’Nai Nicole Stone, nephew Noah Williams and a host of family and friends who love and will miss her dearly.

A heart of gold stopped beating

Two shining eyes at rest

God broke our hearts to prove

He only takes the best

God knows you had to leave us

But you did not go alone

For a part of us went with you

The day he took you home

To some you are forgotten

To others just part of the past

But to those who loved and lost you

The memory will always last

She is not here; she does not sleep

She is with God so please don’t weep

She knows how much you hurt inside

But God held her hand; he’s by her side
