Obituary

Deborah Jean Martin was born on April 26, 1951 to the parents of Adam Martin and Lerleen Baker in Tulsa, OK. She was eldest of three daughters.

During her school years, Deborah enjoyed playing baseball in the school league as well as taking courses in accounting. Because of her ability to work magic with numbers, Deborah graduated as one of the top ranked students in her class of mathematics from Booker T. Washington in 1969. Deborah later went on to work as customer service rep for SW Bell, Amway Distribution and Tulsa Police Dept.

One of Deborah’s favorite hobbies included watching TV; she loved watching scary movies as well as her court shows, but her absolute favorite show was The First 48.

Deborah’s love will be greatly missed because she was the glue that kept family ties together. She accepted all and always displayed genuine care. She loved family cook outs so she could show off her skills by making her most requested dishes, and always cared to show others her techniques and recipes. Whether you needed a good meal or a good laugh, she was your girl. Even as her health declined, her smile didn’t. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow and some even having children of their own. She always welcomed good company.

She attended Liberty Baptist Church at age 12 as well as Cedar Grove until her health declined. Once home bound, Deborah would then tune into the service via TV with Pastor Scott Gordon.

She is proceeded in death by both parents and 2 brothers: Joe Martin and Ronnie McClellan

She leaves to cherish her memories her kids: Antonio Sr. (Sheneka), Andre (Kelly), and Tanisha all of Tulsa, OK.; Grandkids (Great
grandkids): Adrian (Kaleah, Arian), Antonio Jr. (Antonio III, Tyshawn, Jakory), Antoinette, Antonia (Adrianna), Antwone, Karissa, Andre Jr., Tkaylia (DaJohn) Marquis (Brandon,Dadrian), FredRico(Kavon),Shamel (Kourtney), Ty’Mesha, Dehndray, Caron, Tylesha, Taleyah, Larell, Lhygah, Hailenne and Christian; 2 sisters: Brender Martin and Vivian Martin; 1 aunt, Corene Fisher and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
