Obituary

 

On July 22, 1954 a beautiful baby girl was born to Earnest and Vera Bledsoe in Haskell Oklahoma. They named her Carolyn Ann Bledsoe. She attended Booker T. Washington, then Haskell High School. Her family moved to Tulsa Oklahoma when she was in the 10th grade. She graduated from McLain High School class of 1971. After high school she attended Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City and received an Associate Degree in Accounting. After college she worked at One Williams Center as an accounting in Tulsa.

In 1981 she married Ralph Johnson, the love of her life. After marriage she continued her education and received several degrees; Associate Degree in Legal Assistant at Tulsa Community College, Bachelor Degree in Accounting at Langston University. Master Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at Langston University.

In her lifetime she was a faithful member at Pentecostal Temple C.O.G.I.C, First Church of C.O.G.I.C and Greater Lansing C.O.G.I.C. She was the owner of Silver Streak Realty, And Durant Tax Services. She and her brother Minister Elvin Bledsoe(Myra) had a non profit Soul Saving Station in Haskell Oklahoma at the time of her passing. In 2018 she retired from Tulsa County after 31 years as an election board coordinator.

She is preceded in death by both parents, her brothers Michael, Darnell, Theodist, Terrance and Freddie, mother in law Sarah Alexander, father in law Frank Alexander, sister in law, Alyce Crossley and brother in law Louis Crossley.

She leaves to cherish her husband of 41 years Ralph Johnson, her brothers Earnest Jr.

(Debra), Fred(Kay), Donald Lee, Elvin(Myra), Bobby, Arthur, Vernell(Dawn), sisters Lahoma, Nahoma, Ernestine, Mattie Pearl and Catrena, sister in law Brenda Bennett and Brother in law John Bennett. And a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Johnson will be held Monday, August 1, 2022, 1:00 p.m.,  at Full Gospel Family Outreach Ministries, 1609 N Evanston Pl., Tulsa, Oklahoma

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 10:00am-3:00pm and Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home.

  1. One of my job recommenders, I appreciated how she believed in me to teach at the African Prep School in KSC, though I am white. I am also a Christian. She was an encourager.
