On Tuesday, October 1, 2019 a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend took his rest to be with the Heavenly Father. Robert Charles Finch, Sr. was the second child born to Maple Henry and Eddie Lee Finch on February 17, 1939 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Robert was educated through the Muskogee Public Schools system graduating from Manual High School in 1959. He was an outstanding and popular athlete who excelled greatly in football and basketball receiving scholarships as a reward.
Robert met and fell in love with the LOVE OF HIS LIFE, Rena Mae Moore and they were joined in Holy Matrimony. This union was blessed with five children, Larry D. Finch, SaDonna L. Finch, Patricia L. Finch and Robert C. Finch, Jr and Michael D. Finch. Robert was a family oriented man who enjoyed camping, barbeques, family reunions, cooking and providing for his family.
Robert served his country by joining the United States Army. After being released from duty he found gainful employment and retired from, Metro Port Warehouse, and Gilcrease Junior High. After retiring two times he became employed with Walmart Stores where he received his five year pen, retiring from his labor because of his illness.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Maple Henry and Eddie Lee Finch; his son, Larry D. Finch; a daughter, Patricia L. Finch; his siblings, Lee Finch, John Douglas Smith, Mozella Finch and Electa Finch — Ruth.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife of the home, Rena; daughter, SaDonna Finch-Harris; sons, Robert C. (Nichelle) Finch, Jr. and Michael D. Finch all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Nina E. Finch — Melondez and Nikila N. Finch — Beard; a sister-in-law, one brother-in-law; 22 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.
