Obituary

Randall Eugene Taylor was born on February 15, 1963 in Tulsa,
Oklahoma to Sam and Alma Jean (Cozart) Taylor.   He attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Edison High School in 1981.  While in school, he enjoyed playing basketball and was also known as sharp dresser.  Randy loved music, played the guitar in high school and also liked to draw.  Art and poetry played  an important role in his life as therapeutic outlets.  While he never had any children of his own, Randy formed a
special bond with his former stepchildren from a prior marriage to Marrion Brown-Burks.  Randy also cherished his longtime friendship with high school sweetheart MeLyssa D. Bailey.

Randy loved the Lord and surrendered himself to Christ at a young age.  He was,
without a doubt, a prayer warrior.   Randy prayed over sick loved ones, he would often close his telephone calls with a fervent prayer and enclose prayers in his letters.  It was important for Randy to share encouraging words about the love of God.  His goal in life was to spread the gospel of peace through his Reach Out and Touch Ministry.

Randy was kind-hearted with a quiet spirit.  His sense of humor,
infectious smile and distinctive laugh will be missed.

Randall was preceded in death by his father Sam, brother Michael and brother Samuel Louis.  He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Alma Jean, brother Reginald (Olivia), brother Montell (Anjanette), a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

I remember us riding the school bus to Edison.
When the bus would past the liquor store I would always say “drop me off at the liquor store”, and you would laugh so hard.
You were always such a stand up guy, and that’s how I will always remember you.
    Rest well my dear friend.
