On December 17, 1957, Richard Williamson and Mary Garcia Douglas welcomed into this world a beautiful baby boy. They named him Michael Lewis Douglas. Richard loved the Lord with all his heart. In Houston, he became a member of the Church of Christ. Reading and praying was a daily ritual for him. He would not start the day without reading God’s word. Meeting Joel Osteen was one of the high points in his life because he admired the work Joel did for the Lord. Even when in times of trouble, Richard walk that walk. He led by example.

Loving the Lord was always first in Richard’s life; however; loving his family was next. Believing in the power of family, Richard loved his. He enjoyed spending time with them. His family was large and his love for them was even larger.

Dogs loved Richard. He was known to all as the “Dog Whisper”, being able to train any dog to do whatever he wanted it to do. Other hobbies included training horses, fishing and barbequing. He loved life and life loved him back. He was a bright spot to so many and he will be greatly missed.
