Obituary

Mr. Leon Taylor “fell asleep in his savior’s arms” on Wednesday April 25, 2018, with his wife & family by his side.

Life is but a stopping placeOn the blessed morning of January 11, 1965 a baby boy was born to Mr. Weldon & Mildred Taylor.

Leon was born and raised in Bufford Colony, Ok and later moved to Tulsa, Ok. He attended Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Ok after graduation he labored and was a machinist until retirement.

He met and married the love of his life, Wanda and they spent every moment together, they made life time memories filled with laughter and love. His children and grandchildren whom he was well pleased and adored. They made all-days bright and life worth living.

In his spare time Leon enjoyed working on his trucks which also was his passion, he was a building machine, always had them show case ready..clean!

To know him was to love him, he always gave a helping hand to those in need and greeted all with a welcome smile, never met a stranger.

Leon was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rodney Goff where he has remained until his death.

Leon was greeted at heavens gates by his mother and brother. This is not good-bye…Just Until Then.

Forever in his heart He leaves his loving wife of the home, Wanda; father, Weldon; four sons, Santrell, Robert, Preston, Mark (Tina); two-daughters, Rita, Desiree; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grand children; one sister, Brenda; three brothers, Ben, Melvin, Grandville (Doris); three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law all of Tulsa, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be Thursday May 3, 2018 12:00noon at Morning Star Baptist Church 1014 East Pine St. Tulsa, Oklahoma with Senior Pastor Rodney Goff eulogist.
