Obituary

On June 17, 1988, the world became a brighter place for Phyllis Thomas and Norman Kelly as they welcomed onto this earth a beautiful baby boy.  They would lovingly name him, Jeramiah Jerome Thomas but many would learn to call him simply “Boo”.

Growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Boo attended Tulsa Public Schools graduating from Central High School in the Class of 2006.  After high school, he attended Northeastern State University and Pitt University in pursuant to obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice.  Having a zest for education, Jeramiah also obtained his real estate license.

Working as a Water Pollution Control Operator for the City of Tulsa, Jeramiah loved his job and the community in which he served.  Showing up early for work was just one of the ways in which he showed his faithfulness in his work.  However, his faithfulness did not stop once he left his job, Jeriamiah loved taking care of his mother. Any need she had, he felt a need to make sure it was completed.

He loved the game of football.  He was a Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fan.  Playing video games with his Uncle Alex and watching wrestling was a fun pastime for him.  Nothing was more enjoyable to him than spending fun and quality time with his family.  At the Thomas Family gatherings “BOO” was our gentle soul and our angel here on earth.

Jeramiah was preceded in death by his father, Norman Kelly; grandmother, Jessie Mae Thomas; grandfather, Rithchaught D. Bush.; aunts, Sharon Thomas and Janetta Jones and uncles, David Thomas and Stanley Jamison.

Cherishing his legacy will be Mother, Phyllis (Jeff) Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma; God-Mother, Erma Branch; Brother, Courtney (Britney) Thomas nieces, Toylin, Taeveonia, Courtlyn and Courtney Thomas all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Aunts, Beverly Jamison, Pamela Thomas, Shelia (Alex) Berry, Gail Thomas and Patricia Thomas, all of Tulsa Oklahoma, Sandra (Charles)Thomas Rowe of Atlanta, Georgia and a Special Aunt, Mary Ann Edwards of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Uncles, Clarence (Linda) Thomas, Gregory Thomas, Reggie (Angela) Thomas and Eric Thomas, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jeremiah was always easy going and a pleasure to be around. I never seen him get mad and always seemed to be in a good mood. He was always willing and able to help out if he could. I’ll never forget his catch fraze for overtime ” Easy Money” The Plant will not be the same without you. You will be missed!

  2. My mother, Denice Washington taught Jeremiah at Alcott and he was one of her favorite students. Ahhhh this one really hurts, but I know God has him resting in His loving arms. God bless the ENTIRE family, especially Momma Phyllis who I knew personally .
