Obituary

James Madison

On August 18, 1954, James C. Madison was born in Monroe Louisiana to loving parents James B. Madison Sr. and Mattie (Nelson) Madison. James was the 9th of 17 children.

James was baptized at and early age and would call Tallulah Louisiana home. Throughout his life’s journey he resided in Youngstown Ohio. For a short period of time and eventually settled in Tulsa Oklahoma, where he became a Certified Medical Assistant and married the love of his life, Lucille (Fields) Madison.

James was a very caring and affectionate man that loved to make sure that everyone around him felt like family and loved. He loved to sing, dance, fish, and DJ. That’s where Wolfman Jack became his alter-ego. James was loved by his family and definitely left his mark on their hearts.

James leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Lucille Madison; six biological daughters, Shannon (James) Carter, Margo Carter, and LaVonna Moore, all of Tulsa OK. TaKia Colvin of Jacksonville FL, Demetra (Marcus) Carter of Tallulah LA, and Kimberly Madison of San Antonio TX. Also three bonus daughters, Sholaunda (Ryan) Summers, Shanelle Agunu, and Sherria Davison all of Tulsa OK. His siblings, Andrew Madison, Irene Madison, Patricia Madison, and Frankie G Madison all of Youngstown OH, Helen Moreland of Chicago IL, Ethel May (Danny) Brown of Tulsa OK, Johnny Ray Madison, and Sadie Mae Madison of Shereveport LA, and James Burton Madison of Monroe LA. He leaves 24 Grandchildren, 39 Great-Grandchildren, a special niece, LaTonya (Percy) Cummings, and a adopted grandson, Corey McNeal. Along with a host of relatives and friends.

James is preceded in death by his parents Mattie and JB Madison Sr, daughter Sheila Madison, sisters Shirley Madison, Maggie Lee Madison, Bettie Jean Madison, Bessie Mae Madison, Margaret Madison, Diane Madison, and brother James Brown Madison Jr.

James said goodbye June 25, 2021

Visitation for Mr. Madison will be held on Saturday, July 3, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 11:00 a.m., at Harvest Time Outreach Ministries, 2333 E. 48th St. N., Tulsa, OK.
