Obituary

On April 29, 2018, Jesus called Christopher Miller home. He was born October 20, 1970.

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1970, Christopher Coydell Miller was born to the late Coydell Miller Sr. and Lurene Moore-Miller. Chris as he was affectionately known was reared in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Public Schools. He graduated from Thomas Edison High School in 1988.

As a young man, Chris loved the Lord. He was baptized at North Peoria Church of Christ and attended faithfully. He along with his family later united with Praise Christian Faith Center under the leadership of Pastor Stanley and Lydia Coleman.

Chris met the love of his life, Charlotte Gilmore in 1988. Their love was a strong one, and they were joined in marriage on June 30, 1990. To this loving union three beautiful children were born. Christopher, Jr., Courtney and Cortlin. Chris and Charlotte shared over 27 years of marriage. Chris was a family man, quiet, meek and loving person who loved his family.

Chris had a good work ethic and was a provider for his family. In his spare time he enjoyed tweaking with electronics, working on cars and he really enjoyed cooking. He will forever be a fan of the New York Giants. Chris found gainful employment at Windsor Foods under Chili Bowl as a Supervisor where he remained for over 24 years. In 2016, he became employed with Bama Pie Company as a machinist until God called him home.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Coydell and Lurene Miller, mother-in-law, Girlie Gilmore, brothers, Terrance “Terry” Strickland, Coydell Miller Jr., brothers-in-laws, Jeffrey and Reginald Gilmore; aunts, Verna Mae Syas, Justine Miller, Dorothy Miller and Zelma Miller, uncles, Chester Miller, Columbus Miller, David Miller and Frank Moore.

Remembering his legacy in life and love, wife of 27 years, Charlotte Miller, children, son, Christopher (Brianna) Miller Jr., daughter, Courtney Miller and baby boy, Cortlin Miller; father-in law, Wibert (Arlissa) Gilmore, Sr.; siblings, Victor Miller and Marsha Kay Miller; brothers-in-law, Wilbert “Donnie” Gilmore, Jr. and Darrick Gilmore (Doniesha); sisters-in-law, Linda Strickland, Lonias and Keisha Gilmore; one uncle, Hosie Miller; aunt, Mozell Moore; a special great-niece, Lialiana Strickland, bonus niece, Chelsea Purskie and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services for Christopher C. Miler 47, of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be Friday May 11, 2018 11:00am Metropolitian Baptist Church 1228 West Apache Street Tulsa, Oklahoma 74127.

Burial will follow Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Visitation will be on Thursday May 10, 2018 3:00pm til 8:00pm Dyer@ Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home Crematory & Cemetery.
