Obituary

Loretta Christine Roland went home to the Lord on October 21, 2023.

Loretta was born in Ponca City, OK on 02/10/1952 to Joe & Jewel Masters. She was the fifth child born out of seven kids. She attended Attacks grade school, East Middle school and then graduated from Ponca City High School.

Her Family were dedicated members of St. John Baptist Church in Ponca City, OK. After Church each Sunday her and her siblings would go to the movies during their free time. She married at a young age and moved to Tulsa, OK for a while. Whenever she lived in Tulsa, she would come to Ponca to visit and while visiting she always would go to the nursing home to visit and check on the elderly, it was something she loved to do growing up. She eventually moved back to Ponca city where she raised her 3 daughters.

Loretta was a dedicated and Loving Mother to her 3 daughters, Charlotte, Marcia, and Dana. She often held down 2 jobs just to make sure they were well taken care of. In 1994, she moved her family back to Tulsa due to her job relocating and never looked back. She made sure her daughters were involved in some kind of activity which turned out to be sports, mainly Basketball. She was the person that would always take care of someone else and give you the shirt off her back. Loretta was a person you could count on no matter what. She took care of a lot of people during her lifetime from nephews, grandkids and friends.

Once her kids grew up, she became a very dedicated grandmother. She did not play about her grandkids. She devoted her life to helping them out no matter what. She went to all the sports they played in, attended any events they were involved in and rescued them several times no matter the day or time.  She also made sure she was a part of her great grandkid’s life as well.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Joe and Jewel Masters, her sisters, Ruby and Bobbie, Basal Mack, Daughter Marcia, Grandkids Byron and Chantel, Niece Candace and Nephews, Brian and Aaron.

She is survived by her daughter Charlotte (husband Alvin), Daughter Dana (partner Jelani). Her Sisters Betty, Jewel, Yvonne and Brother Eugene. Her grandkids Ryan, Kendall, Derrick, Kentavya, De’Ontaye, De’Andre, Ariaonna, Kiera and Aljenai. Plus, a slew of nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 5pm-8pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home Chapel.
