  1. I really miss you Pa. You were the best Father that I could ever have asked for. I am so grateful to have had you in my life, and I thank you for the love and care you gave, for your strength shown, for the wisdom and guidance you provided, along with the beautiful memories that I will cherish of a life well lived. I really wanted to ‘HANG WITH MR. COOPER’ a whole lot longer. I miss so many things about you, but I will especially miss your back-breaking hugs. I love ❤️ you Daddy. You are forever in my heart. You are in Jehovah’s memory – until I see you again. Your one and only daughter.

    1. Janice, what a beautiful tribute to your “Pa”!
Many children in this system of things have never experienced the Love, protection, or care that You and your dear Mom have experienced from your “Pa”. Most could only dream or imagine what your “Pa’s” loving-kindness was like.

What’s I can say as being part of Jehovah’s universal family—is, your family shared your “Pa” to my family after we loss our dear Keishia. Your Pa’s presence , your Mom and the rest of your family that was there( at the Lake of the Ozark’s) comforted my family in our time of grief.

Janice, I also remember a time that i came to visit your congregation. After the meeting was over, you came over to visit with me, you gave me a hug then you quickly walked away. When I picked up my purse to leave the Kingdom Hall, I noticed some money in it that wasn’t there before. You dropped me a “a few big bucks “ in my purse with out a word. It is not difficult for me to believe that your “type” of generosity was taught to you in your early childhood from your loving “Pa” and “Ma”.

Thank you so much Janice for making room in your hearty and family to share your “Pa” with us!

Pretty soon your “Pa” will rise — in a new world and a new healthy body.

  2. Welker family says:

My family knew Leonard as ‘Cooper’, when he came pheasant hunting at my family’s farm in South Dakota. As a little girl, Cooper was always my favorite hunter as he always made me laugh. I hadn’t seen him since 2019, and happened upon his obituary by mere chance. I’m so sorry for to hear of your loss. He was a great person.
