Obituary

Visitation for Mr. Daniels will be held on Thursday, January 4, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 10:00 a.m., at Metropolitan Baptist Church followed by interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Justin Daniels entered this world on September 10th, 1986, to the parents of Troy & LaRessia Daniels. Early on the amazing discovery of his many talents emerged. From reenacting scenes from movies, to singing nonstop around the house. His parents chose to cultivate those gifts and it became evident in every area of his life.

Justin graduated from Booker T. Washington high school, where he was a member of band called “The Funky D’s”, he was a prolific orator, and was blessed to recite the I Have A Dream speech in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. several years in a row. He took such pride being able to say he attended and graduated from the renowned Booker T. Washington High School.

Justin always had a passion for the arts and theater, the skill of acting and captivating an audience came naturally. He was afforded the opportunity to be cast in several local plays, from Dreamgirls, Little Shop of Horrors, and Jacob of Zulu just to name a few, and we can’t forget when he auditioned for American Idol and made it to the second round.

Along with his passion for the stage, education was of extreme importance to him. He never allowed the circumstances of life prevent him from excelling. Because of that grit and fortitude, he graduated with his Bachelor’ degree from Southern Nazarene University in May of this year.

His life was chalked full of amazing feats, but his greatest was becoming a husband and father. Justin wed his beautiful wife Rosalyn (Nikki) Daniels on June 14th, 2014, and they were blessed to have two beautiful children, Zaire and Za’Nia.

Justin was the resident historian of the family; it didn’t take much for him begin reciting who begat who, and when he got started, he couldn’t be stopped.

There is a permanent void that we are experiencing but because we trust the integrity of who God is. We don’t grieve like those we have no hope.

Justin was proceeded in death by his beautiful mother, LaRessia Ruth Daniels in 2019 and grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Nikki Daniels, two beautiful young children, Zaire & Za’Nia, & we can’t forget his four- legged son. “Frankie D.” Father, Pastor Troy Daniels, two sisters, DeShonna Daniels & ReShena Johnson and a host of cousins, extended family and the church family of Resurrection and Life Christian Church.
