Obituary

Visitation for Mr. LeBlanc will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 5:00pm-8:00pm, at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 12:00pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Memorial Chapel followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee, OK.

Jerry LeBlanc, Sr. 69, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma transitioned February 10, 2023 at his Home in Beggs, Oklahoma.

Born December 20, 1953 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Martha Crawford, formerly LeBlanc.

The late Mr. LeBlanc, Sr. attended both Catholic and Public School in Okmulgee before finishing his high school education at Father Flanagan’s Boys Town School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1971. He then served honorably in The United States Coast Guard before attending Northeastern State University, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma earning a Bachelors degree. While attending college at Northeastern State University, the late Jerry LeBlanc, Sr. was initiated into the Zeta Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  With nearly 40 years of active membership Jerry, was a proud Life Member and his love for Kappa was demonstrated through his mentorship with the Kappa League.

Jerry had an over 20-year exemplary career with The United States Veterans Administration, helping his fellow Veterans navigate their insurance claims. After retiring from the VA, Jerry began working with the Dyer family in the Dyer Memorial Chapel helping the family transport for bereaving families.

The late Jerry Leblanc, Sr. was also a member of the Masonic Lodge Temple as well as a Shriner with Zoan Temple #100.

Jerry was passionate about volunteer service to the community. He actively volunteered in various activities with his local NAACP and other organizations. He also had a love of sports and enjoyed being a basketball referee in his younger years as well as watching sports and attending rodeos and fishing in his spare time.

He is survived by his son, Jerry LeBlanc, Jr., and his wife Portia and granddaughter Avery, of Atlanta, Georgia.

He is also survived by five sisters, and 1 brother, and was an Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

As a father, brother, uncle, and mentor the late Jerry LeBlanc, Sr. will be greatly missed.
