Obituary
A graveside service for Mr. Armstead will be held on Monday, July 1, 1:00 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK.
Jermaine Ray Armstead was born on December 23, 1982, to Ronald Armstead, Sr. and Marie Ann Clark Armstead in Tulsa, OK.
Jermaine’s parents knew early on that he was a very special child – joyful, kind, and independent. He attended Skelly Elementary and Edison Middle Schools and graduated from Memorial High School in 2000. His fun-loving spirit was contagious as he was often found dancing, doing puzzles and other arts and crafts, and watching his favorite wrestling and comedy shows on TV. Jermaine enjoyed getting out every chance he could by going to the park (especially if there was water or fishing involved), shopping at the mall, visiting the Tulsa Zoo and the aquarium, and other special events like the Nutcracker. He was an animal lover and sports fan and even played wheelchair basketball where he earned the name ‘JAY’ for his strong jump shot. He liked going out to eat at Golden Corral and celebrating his birthday with family and friends each year.
Jermaine worked at the Urban League three days a week, and at the Bridges Workshop two days a week packaging orders. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Marie A. Armstead.
Jermaine is survived by his father, Ronald Sr.; his brother, Ronald Wayne (Tiffany Lynn) Armstead Jr. who resides in Pennsylvania; and was the proud uncle of: Seven, Cory, Meah, Ayden, Jayla, and Antwon; aunts and uncles Floyd Clark, Chris (George) Crout, his faithful caregiver Lloyd Clark Jr., Joseph (Beverly) Clark, Jessie (Nathan) Mills, Esibell Clark, Mattie P. Clark, and a host of cousins and friends.

I’ve known you since you were a teenager in high school, living with your mom. I feel like you are part of my family. It is hard to believe that you are gone… Yes, I will miss you, but you are now at peace.
At times like this we can always turn to His word for comfort, knowing that all things are in His hands:
Ecclesiastes 3
1) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2) A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
4) A time to weep, and a time to *laugh*; a time to mourn, and a time to *dance*;
5) a time to *embrace*
7b) a time to keep silence, and a time to *speak*
Will look forward to seeing you again, giving you a big embrace, seeing you laughing, dancing and speaking….
