Obituary

On December 7, 1961, in Cooper, Texas, Charles Simmons and Flossie
Milton Smith welcomed a baby boy and lovingly named him, Jack Walter Simmons. Jack was the baby of the family and grew up with his two sisters.

Jack and the family moved to Oklahoma when he was a young boy. He
attended Okmulgee Elementary, followed by Dunbar Junior High, and
finally, Okmulgee High School.

After school, he began his career with X-PAC where he would stay for 21 years, until his health began to decline. Jack was always a hard worker and proved to have strong problem solving skills as well as the ability to
maintain employee motivation. Because of these skills, he would eventually become supervisor at the company.

Jack accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. He was a man of faith and after returning to Tulsa, enjoyed attending Harvest Time Outreach
Ministries with his sister.

Most would agree that Jack was quiet man who worked hard, loved his
family, kept his car as clean as the day he got it, and loved to dress! He had a collection of hats and shoes and always looked fresh.

On the morning of Thursday, August 17, 2023, Jack peacefully transitioned into his Heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Flossie
Milton, father, Charles B. Simmons, grandmother, Ethel E. Smith, and
uncles, Leroy Smith and Septer Smith.

Those left to cherish Jack’s precious memory is his wife, Adoude
Akue-Goeh, sisters, Jacqueline Simmons and Cloteria Smith, his favorite auntie, Zenobia Carter, and cousins, Angela McKnight, Cathy Carter, Austin Wilson, and Israel Carter; as well as a host of other extended family and friends.
