Obituary

Irene was born on December 8, 1966, in Los Angeles, California to Martin and Theresa Rangel. Irene attended Arroyo High School in El Monte, California. She married her elementary sweetheart, Hector Santa Cruz, Sr. Over their 44 years together, Hector and Irene welcomed 15 children into their lives.

 

In 2013, after moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, she began working for Hillcrest Hospital. Although not formally, Irene was a teacher to her children, giving lessons on how to love one another and encouraged them to stand up for themselves.

 

On May 2, 2023, Mrs. Irene Santa Cruz passed away peacefully at Hilcrest Hospital, at the age of 56. She will forever be remembered by her loved ones as a loving, funny, loyal, beautiful, spunky woman.

 

Irene is survived by her parents, Martin and Theresa Rangel of California. Her husband Hector Santa Cruz SR, her fifteen children, Emily, Hector, Sergio, Regina, Cesar, Abel, Ruben, Joseph, Noah, Christine, Daniel, Benny, Ariana, Reina,and Dasani Santa Cruz. Her 22 Grandchildren, Solee, Fagan, Jason
Goodloe , Marques Darby, Kendan Darby, Sergio Santa Cruz JR, Angelica Santa Cruz, Cesar Santa Cruz, Luis Guajardo, Laylanie Santa Cruz, Irene, Krysal and Isaac Rowe, Luciano Santa Cruz, Abel Santa Cruz, Layla Santa Cruz; Lupita Santa Cruz, Viviana, Layla and Genesis Santa Cruz, Angelina and Evelyn Santa Cruz, Joseph Santa Cruz JR., one great grandchild Lorenzo Fagan JR. III, two siblings, Josie and Lorene Santa Cruz.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday May 18, 2023 from 5pm-8pm.  Funeral services will be held on May 19, 2023 at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home at 12pm.
