On July 4, 1945 Coleman Sr. and Esola Anderson Olden welcomed their ninth child into the world. They named her Elaine Joy Olden, and decided to raise her with a strong work ethic and religious background.

Elaine met and married Eugene Travis and later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma; God later blessed them with a daughter Latoya. Elaine and Eugene decided to take different life journeys, after years of being apart the true loves reunited in Holy matrimony for a second and final time.

She worked for Ms. Ray’s Daycare for a few years.  She later worked for St. John’s Medical Center Daycare for several years before deciding to open her own daycare Love Land Daycare. Her babies affectionally called her Mrs. Joya.
