Obituary

Edna Faye Jones was the 6th child born to Eula Warren and Will Ward from Waco, Texas. She joined Greater Union Baptist Church in Waco, Texas at an early age. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1954 and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1959, under Reverend George McCutchen.

She married Robert E. Jones in 1947 and to that union two children were born; Connie Jones and Janace Jones.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; Will and Eula Ward, her brother; Jack Ward, sisters; Tommie Lee, Mildred, Leola and Willie Dale and her daughter; Connie Faye Jones.

She is survived by her daughter; Janace Wilson (Dwight), three granddaughters; Kim Palmer, Kristie Jones, Kyndra Palmer, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, two nieces, and a host of friends and relatives along with her Mt. Zion friends. She will be missed.

  2. Ms. Edna Faye Jones was a magnificent lady. She was also a lady of great Christian faith from the very beginning of her life to the end of her life. She was a kind and loving person. Yes she will be missed by me and everyone who knew her. Rest in peace dear lady

    She was a Faithful Servant and a reliable friend. We were church friends, both members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Tulsa. We became closer friends during the past 12-14 years. We had a long conversation about 12 years ago and were both amazed about how much we had in common… and how our beliefs were aligned. I will pray for her family members and ask God to be with them.
