My Condolences to the Works family in the passing of your Mother Mrs Edna Works. Remembering Mrs Works as my neighbor growing up, she was always so kind and nice to my family. I would always stand outside on the porch waiting for one of her daughters to come to the door and I would always hear Mrs Works playing her piano. I certainly can’t forget about her wonderful cakes she baked. Growing up with the Works family brings back so many memories.
May you rest in the arms of Jesus good and faithful servant.

  5. Carolyn Waugh says:

Mrs. Edna Works was a very nice lady and an accomplished musician. She served as a mentor and friend to a great number of people at Historic Vernon AME Church and the community through her participation with the Young Peoples Department, Womens Missionary Society,, and other organizations. I will miss her bright smile and caring spirit. She was a great mother and loved her family dearly. To the family, “Thank you” for sharing your mother with me and so many others. May your wonderful memories of your mother provide some comfort during this time. Rest in Paradise, Mrs. Works, until we meet again. Carolyn Davis Waugh
