Obituary

On September 15, 1978, a boy was born at Hillcrest Medical Center Tulsa Oklahoma, to his mom, Tanzye Gunnells and his father William “Bill” Jeffries. Dustin was full of smiles and energy. As a child he was blessed with a little sister named Taimezhaki, nickname “Mezha”. He grew up with cousins that were like brothers and sisters also. In his young age he was friendly and outgoing.

Dustin developed into a very deep thinker. In middle/junior high school he excelled in the Computer Challenge Program. This became the beginning of his love for coding and more.

He had diversified interests and talents during his teenage and young adult years. My son was an entertainer, songwriter, singer, Rapper, and producer. Many knew him as “Dapper D” or “Xianex”. Dustin was accomplished on the keyboard and piano.

Dustin completed several levels of study. At Vatterott College he achieved the academic requirements for Computer Programing and received an Associates degree in Occupational Studies in Computer Programming and Web Development 2002. He achieved his Bachelor of Information Technology in 2004 from the School of Information Technology, American InterContinental University. He also completed and achieved his Master of Business Administration from the School of Business, American InterContinental University 2005.

Dustin worked for DXC Technology when told of his passing they shared their feelings that he was an invaluable employee.

Our son had a complex opinion on life and government systems and other human beings. He did not mind sharing his thoughts and standing out as different.

Dustin married and divorced Joann Nani, but of that union came his only son, Dorian Ramone Gunnells. Dustin also considered her children Isaiah, Taylor and Dakota as his own.

There are many who will miss him and mourn; his Grandmother Bessie Adams (Tanzye’s Mom); his Mother and Father; his sister Taimezhaki Parker and her husband, Tavarus Sr.; their children Tavarus Jr., Tazha Ann, and Tamarcus.

Several close cousins especially Roderick Franklin. Also many others; Uncles Aunts Cousins Friends and Colleagues.
