Obituary

Diedra Diane Foster, 65, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, left this earth on August 10, 2025. Diedra was born on June 13, 1960, to Jimmie Samuel Foster Sr. and Novella Davis Foster.

Of her five siblings, she grew up in Tulsa with three sisters and a brother. The other sister was raised in Texas. In 1978, Diedra graduated from Will Rogers High School. In her later years, she enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and was known to yell passionately at the screen. Diedra was a good cook, and her family will cherish the memory of her spaghetti, pork chops, and fried potatoes. Music was also a great source of joy for her. Diedra’s favorite song was “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”  Diedra was a woman of God. She was a devout Christian and believed in Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Diedra was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Novella Foster; sisters, Gina Carroll and Avis Foster; and brother, Jimmie Foster Jr.

She is survived by her sisters, Carol Kirkland and Cynthia Godbold; her son, Dion (Trenda) Foster, and their children, Derek Willis Jr., Dysen and Dillon Foster; her daughter, Danielle Foster, granddaughter, NaJhé Allen; and great-granddaughter, Daila Luckey.

Sending love, prayers and my condolences to the Foster family. Growing up I admire the Foster family the love spreads far and wide. She always had a smile on whenever you approached her. Walking to and from elementary school (Robert Frost) she always waved bye and I see you tomorrow. She kept the neighborhood gang with up to date of everything from our neighborhood. She is going to be missed.
