Desmond LaTwaun Padillow was born on May 13, 1991, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Michael Tillman and Denise Padillow. As the second oldest of eight children, Desmond grew up surrounded by the closeness and energy of a large, loving family.

He attended McClain High School and proudly earned his diploma in 2010. Determined and hardworking, Desmond later obtained his CDL after completing truck-driving school. He also pursued training in plumbing and began his plumbing apprenticeship, always striving to build a strong future for himself and those he loved.

On May 2, 2023, Desmond and Shay’Minthia Reid welcomed their beautiful son, Austin—a blessing who instantly became the light of Desmond’s life.

Desmond will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room. He had an infectious laugh, a bright smile, and a natural gift for making others feel at ease. Loyal and outspoken, he was never afraid to speak his mind, yet he always led with love. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking for those he cared about,, keeping things neat and organized -especially his own place which he kept immaculate, and sharing morning coffee with his aunt, Edith. His sense of humor, his kindness, and his way of turning even apologies into meals will be deeply missed. It is hard to speak of him without smiling.

Desmond was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mrs. Bobby Jean Rentie-Padillow, and his father, Michael Tillman.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Denise Padillow; father, Darrell Williams; siblings: Samson, Bobbey, Donnisha, Andrea, Darian, Darius, and his baby sister Darionna as well as Cory Buchanan and Nakia Morris; significant other, Shay’Minthia Reid; beloved son, Austin Reid; brothers in heart, Malik Duffy and Marseice Warrior; and grandfather, Marvell Padillow, Sr.; Along with a host of loving family members, friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Desmond’s life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. He will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

The biggest word in the dictionary is if. If I had just one more day. If I had just one more hour. If I had just one more conversation. And though those if’s are gone away , your memory is here forever. Just don’t get kicked out of heaven tryna hoorah Peter 🤣 I love you nephew and we’ll see you when we get there.
