Obituary

Christopher Lee Fortenberry, Jr. was born on December 19, 1990, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Christopher Fortenberry, Sr. and Tammy Lester. He was raised in Tulsa, where he attended McLain High School and later went on to excel at Clary Sage Barber School. Chris was a talented and passionate barber who took pride in his craft and worked at Headliners Barber Shop, where his skills, style, and personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Chris loved music, laughter, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being the life of the moment and was always down for a good time. Known for his sense of style and confident presence, Chris had a way of making people feel comfortable and welcomed. He cherished being a big brother and especially loved celebrating birthdays and special moments with his sister.

Above all, Chris was a proud and devoted father to his two children, Kaydain and Boston, who were the joy of his life and meant everything to him.

Chris is survived by his loving mother, Tammy Lester; stepfather, Redex Lester; sister, Janeeka Fortenberry; brothers, Kishaun Collins, Jamal Fortenberry, and Micah Lester; his beloved children, Kaydain Fortenberry and Boston Fortenberry; grandmother, Cheryl Brown; Rickey Bone; and a host of extended relatives and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

On January 29, 2026, Christopher was called to his heavenly home. Welcoming him at Heaven’s gate were his father, Christopher Fortenberry, Sr.; his grandmother, Doretha Fortenberry; and his grandfather, Felix Brown.

Chris will be remembered for his love, his laughter, his style, and the impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him.
