Obituary

Charles Monroe Norton was born on September 16, 1958. He was the 2^nd born child of Monroe Charles Norton and Josephine Norton in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Charlie attended and graduated from Edison High School – Class of 1977.

Auto mechanics was a passion of his and at the same time, provided his family’s living. He worked at Apex Auto Salvage and LKQ in Tulsa, Oklahoma and provided superb auto care to the public for over 30 years.

Charlie loved his family and friends very much. He enjoyed spending time with them all. Everyone around him enjoyed listening to his life lessons and loved to share his laughter and joy. He also enjoyed spending his free time fishing and going to the casino.

On March 25, 2023, Charlie entered into the presence of Paradise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Charles Norton and Josephine Norton.

He leaves his love and laughter through his memories created with 2 brothers: Fred Norton of Texas and Willis Norton of Tulsa, OK; 3 sisters: Sheran Norton and Monica Norton both of Tulsa, OK and Alicia Norton of Texas; 4 sons: Charles “Charlie Brown” Oliver of Tulsa, OK,, Rashad Dunn of Texas, Chawncey Dunn of Oklahoma City, and Christopher Williams of California; 2 daughters: Twanna Colbert and Clarisha Parker both of Tulsa, OK; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, and friends.
