Obituary

In June 1974, Charles had his first child, Kevin, with his then wife Pam. In January 1982, Charles and Angala welcomed a tiny but strong baby girl Evelyn. Charles met his current wife while he was working for the MTA. He was a bus driver, and she was the ticket clerk. Charles and Rose were married on November 3rd, 1984. Together, they shared their love with the open road, whether it be on his motorcycle or by car. Their daughter Catheryn was born in November 1989. Charles retired from MTA in 2004. It was at this time that he was able to drive across the country any time he pleased. It was not uncommon for him to wake up one morning and say, “I feel like taking a drive.” Charles had a love for animals I, which he had a host of dogs at his home in California. In August 2010, Charles drove to Arizona to see his first granddaughter born. This was the first of many trips he took to watch his precious grandbaby grow. He went to her first day of kindergarten, with countless birthdays. He leaves behind his precious dog, Theadore, who would stay by his side day end and day out. His dog Poker who would play with him even if he did not have the energy. He is survived by his wife Rose, children Kevin, Evelyn, and Catheryn. His granddaughter Camren. His siblings, Charleen, Dorothy, and Alfred. And a host of nieces, nephews, and classmates.

Visitation for Mr. Miles will be held on Thursday, February 2, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 3, 11:00 a.m., at Fort. Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
