Obituary

On July 9^th, 1962, a baby was born to Arnett Chaplin and Juanita Grason. They named him Arnell Christopher Chaplin (Tuffy).

Arnell attended high school in Muskogee, and Tulsa, O.K. (McLain). Later he attended both truck driving and welding school.

Arnell loved helping people, he was always seen helping someone – He truly never met a stranger.

Arnell departed this earthly place on February 6, 2022, at Saint John’s Medical Center.

Those waiting with a smile to welcome him: both his parents, Arnett Chaplin, and Juanita Grason; his beloved grandparents, Carl & Ednerine Chaplin, Thomas & Catherine Grason; his siblings, Yolanda Fletcher, Felecia Barnett, Larry Williams & David Cobb; his uncles, Earnest, Alfred, Clarence, Robert, and Lenard Chaplin.

Arnell leaves to cherish his memories: a special friend, Nina Blackwell, his daughters, Arnisha Chaplin and Jasmine Lee Tillis; his grandchildren, Sherrianna Rogers, Jayla Smith and Elijah Lee; his siblings, Arnetta Boyd (Tulsa), Greg Chaplin (Muskogee), Beverly (Glen)Taylor (Oklahoma City), Dewayne Wheat (Alabama), Shelia Chandler, and Lavanda Cobb (Texas); his Step-Mother, Lynda Chaplin (Tulsa), his Aunt Helen Scroggins, Uncle Charles (Evalyn) Chaplin (Muskogee), Great-Aunt Lucill Vann (Oklahoma City); and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Chaplin will be held on Friday, February 18, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 12:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Memorial Chapel, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104 followed by interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
