Obituary

Andrea Michelle Cephus -Brothers was born on May 24th, 1990, and the second born to April Cephus and Ledell Brothers Jr. of Tulsa Oklahoma. She was absolutely beautiful, quiet, reserved, resilient, and funny even as a little one.

Andrea’s personality was bubbly, fun, energetic, and she was the hype man for any occasion J. The spirit of laughter is what she kept going, even in the most difficult times. She enjoyed traveling, movies, dancing, and had her sight on moving to Denver, CO. Some of her favorite hobbies includes drawing, coloring books, writing poetry, shopping, and cooking. She’d cook for her family and would host taste testing during holidays and special occasions. She dreamt of traveling to Paris, France and owning her own business or 2.

Family was so important to Andrea. She loved her sons, Carnell a.k.a. CJ (12) and Neiko (5) unconditionally and referred to them as her kings.

Andrea affectionately referred to her mom as “Queen” and her Aunt Sharon as “Big baby”. She loved and was very protective of her sisters who she’d refer to as “Queenyettes”. She was big on Sisterhood and loved her posse Nessa Marie, Ryesha, Veronica a.k.a. Roni, and Meeka.

Andrea was a person of faith, spirituality, and a student of the bible. In Andrea’s early years, she was an active member of Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church where she looked forward to youth activities, such as singing in the choir, vacation bible school and serving on the usher board…when she wasn’t cutting up. LOL

A servant-leader, Andrea served people through her work. She exemplified hard work and her leadership skills were always displayed; so much so that, she was quickly promoted to management positions and people gravitated towards her affectionate personality. She was an assistant manager for a national fast-food chain, she worked in insurance, and most recently she was an in– home health caregiver for GoldenCare.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Ledell Brothers Jr. Her grandparents, Ruby Wilson, Roosevelt Barcus, Lucy Jackson and LC Brothers Sr. and her Aunt Leslie Colbert-Mason.
