Obituary

This Is My Story.. .

“On Friday December 15, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma Mr. Otis Evans 63 gave his soul to the Lord and entered in to the Kingdom.”

In the year of our Lord and Savior August 16, 1954, Heaven placed a loan a vibrant baby boy. His care was entrusted to Christine M. Dokes and Seereans T. Evans. They named their son Otis S. Evans. He exhibited a big outgoing personality and love for life.

Otis attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He love sports and was an avid football fan. Otis enjoyed coaching and mentoring young athletes. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren.

On December 15, 2017, Otis departed this life and crossed over the River of Jordan” being met at Heaven’s gates by his mother, Christine and his big brother, Joseph Evans.

He leaves to embellish his memory, his father, Seereans Evans; six children Tancy Evans, Marco Crisp, Latisha Crisp, Tanisha Fellows, Sharonda Henderson and Otis Alexander; four siblings, Glenda (Charles) Dailey, Donald R. (Shelia) Evans, Regional L. (Linda) Evans and Barbara Evans along with a host of other relatives and friends. Alice Evans dear sister-in-law and friend will embellish his memory forever. Everyone who knew him will miss Otis S. Evans.

HE KNOWS AND HE CARES

The God who spoke the worlds into space,

Knows of the trials each one of us face.

If He can create it all from thin air,

We must believe He knows and He cares.

Our God is never caught by surprise.

All things are open and seen by His eyes.

Though it may bring both pain and heartache,

Never with God is it a mistake.

Read Job again, as God answers man,

Did we instruct Him or give Him a plan?

God is all wise, all powerful too.

He knows exactly just what to do.

Trust in His care, His wisdom and might.

He hears when we call late in the night.

Already He knows the trials we bare.

Have faith in God, be assured of His care.

His services are Friday December 22, 2017 in the Butler-Stumpff-Dyer Memorial Chapel at 11AM. “When caring truly matters DYER cares.” 918-525-5549
