Obituary

“A faithful servant and dedicated member of Full Gospel Family Outreach Ministries Mrs. Mary L. Templeton 78, passed on Saturday evening at her home.

Mother Mary Templeton’s Life

Her services will be Friday 10:00am Full Gospel Family Outreach Ministries 1609 North Evanston Pl with Bishop Harold W. Jones,Eulogist.

Little Mary Lee Dixon was born February 20, 1939 to Fred and Leanna Dixon in Widner, Arkansas. “She was a quiet and meek child, never much trouble at all” says, her mother. She attended school in Widner and Forrest City, Arkansas. She later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Carver Middle School and later Booker T. Washington High School where she graduated with the Class of 1958.

Mary married her high school sweetheart, Ernest Templeton in 1958. To this union five children were born, 3 boys and two girls. Mary worked in retail at JC Penny and retired after 35 years of service with the company. After retirement she became a volunteer for Community Care Insurance Company and she also worked as a caregiver for those in need. Mary was a faithful and very active member and mother of her church, Full Gospel Family Outreach Ministries for over 20 years. She was known by all as Mother Templeton. She was one of the best cooks on earth. Her signature desserts were Chocolate Carmel Cake and Sock-It-To-Me Cake amongst many other dishes that were extraordinary delicious. Everyone loved her cooking.

Mary was a smart and virtuous Woman of God, loving wife and oh! what a wonderful mother. She loved her family dearly. Mary sincerely expressed unconditional love to all. She will be truly missed.

Mother Marry Lee Templeton leaves to cherish her memory; five children, Ernest Wayne Templeton (Doreen) of Tulsa, OK, Cassandra Kaye Markham (Randy) also of Tulsa, OK Ralph Kent Templeton (Monica) of Madison, Alabama, Rhonda Lynne Templeton of Oklahoma City, OK, Darryl Boyde Templeton of Tulsa, OK; 12 grandchildren, Curtis Wayne, Donald, Marcus, Lekeith, Morris, Ashley, Ebony, Ralph, Jr., Nicholas, Micah, Dacorey and D’Marue’; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
Burial: Fort Gibson National Cemetery at Fort Gibson,
Oklahoma at 1:00pm.
