Obituary

“Mother Etta Mae “Gran” Richardson 83, was welcome by her angels on the afternoon glory train.” She passed on October 16, 2017 at her home in Broken Arrow.

On January 1, 1933 in McAlester, Oklahoma a feisty baby girl was born to Charlse Erving and Earline L. Hadley. They named her Eddie Mae, but she later changed it to Etta Mae. She was a welcomed addition to the family. Etta moved to Tulsa where she attended school at Dunbar Elementary, Carver Junior High and later graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1945. Etta accepted the Lord as her personal savior at early age, her first membership experience was at the St. Andrew Baptist Church in Tulsa where Etta served as a missionary. Etta went on in life working many occupations from being a cook to a health care provider which she retired from. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she gave many nick-names. She had many hobbies, she enjoyed fishing, cooking and keeping her grandkids inline. They knew she never bit her tongue. Preceding her in death are her father, mother, adopted mother and father; son: Larry Harding; daughter: Anna Hardin; great-granddaughter: Sheona; aunt: Elizabeth Hawkins. Etta leaves behind to cherish her memories are her children: Roy E. Harding, Chestina M. Harding Williams, James E. Richardson, Benjamin A. Richardson, Joni Richardson, Chelinda A. Richardson and Allan Kelly along with other loving family and friends.

Her services will be Friday 10:00am in God’s Anoited People Church 4301 S. 45th West Ave Tulsa, Oklahoma with Bishop Louis Brown.III

Visitation will be Thursday 2:00pm til 8:00pm Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home 2103 East 3rd St.

Burial will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens Skiatook, Oklahoma. “When caring truly matters, DYER cares.” 918-425-5549
