with her Senior Pastor Bishop Harold W. Jones, Eulogist.

Alma Pittes, the daughter of Alma Bowens and Loma Mason was born second of six children on June 14, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Alma attended school in Tulsa and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with the Class of 1957.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Galilee Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Usher Board.

Alma worked as a psych therapist for Hillcrest Medical Center until her retirement. She then opened her own daycare business “Alma’s Daycare” for over 15 years. She was loving mother, sister and grandmother that never met a stranger. Alma was always willing to help others who were in need. She loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed but forever loved. Her number one phrase was “Blessed is the Peacemaker.”

Alma met and married James Pittes, Jr. and to this union four lovely children were born, Cathy Pittes, Sharon Pittes, James Pittes III “Sonny “and Gary Pittes.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Alma-Mae Bowens and Loma O. Mason; brother, Charles Robert Mason; sisters, Willie Marie Payne and Teresa P. Bowens.

Alma “Baby Sister” quietly slipped away from our presence; she will never leave our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters; Cathy Pittes and Sharon Pittes, sons, James Pittes III “Sonny” and Gary (Lawanda) Pittes. Five grandchildren; Markita Pittes, NaCretia Pittes, Terrel Pittes, Brandon Pittes and Brylan Pittes. Two Great-grandchildren, Kamryn Harris and Aryanna Pittes. And a Host of other relatives and friends.

Her final resting place: Crown Hill Cemetery
