Obituary

On November 3, 2016 Mr. Orville L. Gill, Jr. 58 began his “Walk down the streets paved with gold.” Service will be Saturday November 12, 2016 2:00pm Gods Anointed People Church 4301 S. 45th West Ave Tulsa, Oklahoma 74107 Pastor Louis Brown III. Burial: Green Acres Memorial Gardens On May 24, 1958 a beautiful baby boy, Orville LeNell, Gill, Jr. was a born to Thomasine Lovelace and Orville Gill Sr. He was the second child of four children born to this union. Orville was also raised by his loving grandmother, Mary Lovelace and Etta Mae Richardson(stepmother) and her children.

Orville Lenell Gill, Jr. grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1976. He later was blessed with four beautiful children.

He joined the United States Navy in 1977 and was honorably discharged in 1978. He spent the later part of his life in Oklahoma City. Orville loved to work at the Oklahoma State Fair, Orville held several positions and enjoyed working there and meeting new people. His passion in life was his children and family. Orville loved to cook and loved to eat. Sometimes you couldn’t hardly understand half the words he said, but he would keep you laughing. He had a laugh that none of us will ever forget. He loved to play cards and dominoes. On November 3, 2016, Orville heard God’s call and he received his wings and took flight. An angel to add to God’s Army.

Orville was preceded in death by his grandmother (Mary Lovelace), mother, (Thomasine Lovelace) father (Orville Gill, Sr.) sister (Anna Harding) and brother (Larry Harding).

Orville leaves to cherish his loving memory, two sons; Orvile Mccalister (MyKea), Orville Coleman, two daughters, LaToya Mays (Terrance) and Joynisha Coleman all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two brothers; Orvel Gill and Derrick Gill and one sister; Sharonda Gill, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Daddy, we loved you and always have. We never took your loved for granted. We truly loved you and was proud to say you were our Father. Life’s not fair and now you’re gone, we never got a chance to say goodbye; so we’re saying it now. Good-Bye Daddy until we meet again, go see Grandpa Roland and Grandma Susie, they will take care of you for us till we see you again. Tell everyone hello, the peace is yours at last. No more pain, heartache or sorrow.
