Obituary

” The same everlasting God who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow and every day.” – Francis de Sales On Monday, October 3, 2016 Mr. Norman “Pookie” Huntley completed his earthly race and was beckoned by the Creator to get his eternal rest. The Celebration of Life: Saturday, October 08, 2016 at 2:00pm Agape Outreach Ministries Pastor Layla Caldwell as the Eulogist.

On October 22, 1973 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dwyane McClellan and Elaine Huntley welcomed this beautiful bouncing boy in the world. He was named Norman Dwyane Huntley, but to family and friends, he was “Pookie”. He attended Tulsa Public Schools in his elementary years through high school.

Pookie had an affinity to protect and serve, which led him to perform security for the past several years. He was recently employed by Borg Compressed Steel Inc. of Tulsa and one of his favorite pass times was riding horses. He loved horses!

He was a loving son, and such a caring person. More than anything, he sincerely loved his family, and cherished his mother and father. He was extremely close to his sister Key-Key and Aunt Linda, and above all he loved his children more than words could express.

Those remaining to the shared memories of “Pookie” are: his parents, Elaine Huntley and Dwayne McClellan; his children Tashika Huntley, Ariyanna Huntley and Damari Huntley; sisters, Keyonna Huntley “Key-Key”, Kametra Marshall, Qurra Huntley and Ebony Huntley; grandmother, Ernestine McClellan; and his significant other, Jessica Owens along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

“Pookie Is a Beautiful Angel” A beautiful angel is all that is here. Saying O’ Lord please leave me here Not ready to leave but has to go Wants to go back but God says no. Parents, children, family and friends A meaningful life that suddenly ends An angel is what he was meant to be Now think of all that he can see. Watching over his family night and day. Saying I Love You in his own special way In the night we sleep and in the day we cry. While he watches us from his star in the sky. Author- Christopher Warren
