Reflections of Latonya’s Life On November 7, 1976 a baby girl was born to Byron C. and Deborah Owens in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
LaTonya M. Owens accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M.L. Bailey.
She attended academy Central School graduating in the Class of 1991. She went on to attend Central High School and graduated with the Class of 1995.
LaTonya met and ultimately married her high school sweetheart Kerry Don Jackson on September 9, 2006. Kerry preceded her in death on June 19, 2008.
On the morning of May 8, 2016 LaTonya was called home to be with the Lord.
LaTonya leaves to cherish and celebrate her memory, her companion Dewen McNeely; father, Byron Owens; mother, Deborah Peeples (Dennis Sr.) Reese; sister LaKesha Peeples of Tulsa, OK; stepsisters Tiara Reese, Dina Reese (Arthur) Berry; step-brother Dennis Reese, Jr. (Jessica); uncles, Manuel L. (Laura) Peeples, Jr. and Freddie Peeples; cousins, Colette Peeples and Michael Peeples; nieces, Kynbria Gunn and Kandyce Peeples; nephew, Kaleb Gunn and a host of other relatives and friends.

To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me

Weep not my precious dears,

I am not dead, but sleeping here.

I was not yours, But God’s alone,

Who loved me best and took me home.

As I am now, so shall you be.

Prepare for death and follow me.
