Mr. Dalvan La’Quan Miller “CROW TADA, GETEM”
Sunrise: July 11, 1994 – Sunset: March 23, 2016
On a warm summer night, July 11, 1994 at 2:59AM in Hillcrest Hospital of Tulsa, OK a beautiful baby boy was born to Mykea Miller and Dion Ballard. He came into this world weighing 2 pounds and 15 ounce making a clarion sound like the basketball team (The Thunders) and he remained that way. They lovingly named him Dalvan La’Quan Miller.

He attended the Tulsa Public Schools system. Do you know how he did it? He walked into Mitchell Elementary, and with the help of Principal Oliver Wallace, he slid through Wilson Middle School and he skated through McClain High School.

As most typical young men he loved music and basketball. He loved his family and it was always a pleasure to have him in our company. He knew how to be a great son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and true friend and above all he knew how to be a father. In later years his mother married, Orville McCalister and Dalvan knew how to be a great step-son.

Dalvan leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy, his children Makiyah, Bryland, Lanaya and one unborn child; his siblings, Dion, Jr., Makeda, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters; his loving mother Mykea McCalister (Orville) of Tulsa, OK; father Dion Ballard of Tulsa, OK; ; his grandparents, Bodonia Miller (Leon), Martha Ballard and Raymond Allen, Sr. (Terri) all of Tulsa, OK; uncles, Raymond Allen, Jr. and Gregory Smith; aunt, Tamikol Smith all of Tulsa, OK; his special friends, Robert Redricks, Quincy Calloway, David Wilson, Tomandre Bowen and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation and Floral deliveries Friday 4:00pm til 6:00pm at New Jerusalem Baptist Church 3427 N. Birmingham Ave. Burial will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. “When caring truly matters, DYER cares.”
