Obituary
Early Sunday morning on May 03, 2015, the trumpet sounded and God dispatched his angels to call Mr. Derrick Brewer to join the great clouds of witnesses.
Derrick was born to the late Alta Mae Brewer and Thomas Carl Hines on October 10, 1980 in Tulsa,Oklahoma. Derrick is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Derrick enjoyed coaching football for the youth and he never met a stranger. He was employed with Tulsa Public Schools for 13 years. Derrick was fondly known to many as ” Big Brew” and “DB” He will be remember for his kind heart, sense of humor and honesty. He enjoyed being a father and hanging with his friends.
Derrick leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memory!
Services will be Saturday May 16, 2015 at 11:00am in Central High School Auditorium with Pastor Orville Baul. Burial will follow in Friday Cemetery at Haskell Oklahoma. Visitation will be Friday 10:00am til 7:00pm at Dyer Chapel. “When Caring Truly Matters Dyer Cares”

I Remember When We Met At Like 12 Years Old. My Momma Wanted Me To Play Football At Like Barely 100 Pounds. It Was Meet The Teacher Night And Big Brew Said, Hey Man Don’T U Play Running Back?” I Said Yea But In My Mind I Was Like My Momma Making Me Play. Big Brew Says, “You Run Behind Me Ain’T Nobody Gon Touch You”……He Nicknamed Me “Hammer Time” Cuz I Was Dancing Through Them Big Lanes. I Will Miss U Brother. R.I.P
