On one beautiful day, February 23, 1948, a beautiful baby girl was born to Sherman and Marie Cato — Heath in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was the first child of two children born to this union. They lovingly named her, Katherine Maxine Heath.

At a young tender age Katherine along with her family relocated to Sapulpa, Oklahoma where she attended Sapulpa Public Schools and Booker T. Washington High School.

Katherine accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Sapulpa, OK under the leadership of Rev, Ivan Ladd. As a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church she was a dedicated choir member where she loved singing for the Lord. Katherine loved her church family and the spiritual leadership of Rev. Henry T. Busby.

Katherine met and married James Rufus Maloy and to this union a beautiful baby girl was born , Lenasha Maloy. This marriage was later dissolved. Katherine later encountered love again with Dyvone Marshall and to this union another beautiful baby girl was born, Deana Marshall. The couple remained true to their vows until her demise on April 7, 2015.

Katherine had a heart of gold she was later employed with Bios of Sapulpa as a caregiver until she retired from her labor in 2011.

Katherine enjoyed being around her family and loved ones. She was loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very humorous person that loved to make people laugh.

She leaves In God’s care her loving husband, Dyvone Marshall, of the home; her two beautiful daughters, Lenasha (James) Morrison, Dena Marshall both of Tulsa, OK; her loving parents, Sherman and Marie Heath three step-children, Diane Marshall Adallas Marsha both of Tulsa, OK and Dyvone Marshall, Jr. of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Shayla, Jamesha, Hailey, Ashlee and Addison; two-great-grandchildren, Shaunii Miller, Jordyne Paige Webb; one sister, Viola Heath; one brother-in-law, Larry Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

“To My Husband & Family”
I know you’re feeling sad today because I had to go.
I know you have so many things that remind you of me so.
And thou you cry as you recall the times you spent with me.
I know your pain would turn to joy if only you could see.
I’m in Heaven with Jesus now we laugh, we sing, we play.
He holds me gently in His arms. I know no pain today.
And though we’re parted for a while Jesus promised me,
He’ll someday bring you here where we’ll live for eternity.
