Obituary

Services for Mrs. Ruba Lee Collins 90,of Tulsa, Okla died Wednesday will be Monday March 24, 2014 at 12;00noon in the Greater Union Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Kendrick,Sr. Euoglist. Burial will follow Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation wiil be Sunday 3;00PM TIL 6;00PM in the Alfred C. Dyer Colonial Chapel at Dyer Memorial. “Good Night Mother See You on The other Side”

Mrs Ruba Lee Collins was born in Vian, Oklahoma. She was also known as Mama, Granny, GrandMa, Aunti Ruby and Ruba Lee by her beloved husband. Mrs. Collins was baptized at the Greater Union Baptist Churrch and was a member for 76 yers. After graduating from Booker T. Washing High School in 1941, she attended the Madam C.J. Walker School of Beauty and became a licensded beautician in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She loved listening to music , watching wrestling and Wheel of Fortune and receiving visitors.

Ruba Lee met James C. Collins of Chestnut, Louisina and they were married for 61 years, to this union were orn three children. When yoiu saw one, you saw the other!

On Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 3:30 pm Ruba Lee Collins passed away surrounded bty loved ones. Her family believes she is reunited with her beloved husband, J.C. and her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her final words to her family were that “God will take care of you:,

She leaves to chrish her memory, her c hildren James C. Collins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jr., Delores C. Smith of Smithfield, VA and David Eric Collins of Fairbank, MN; one brother Dewey Oates of Los Angeles, CA; approximately eight grandchldren Terrica(Roger) Newby of Surry, VA,Shawna (Marcus) Herbert of Duncan, OK, James (Tomicka) C. Collins, III of Tulsa, Ok, Rev. Aleisha A. Langorne of Hyattsville, MD, Chere (Doanald Ray) Kearney of Oklahoma City, Ok and Markita A. Langhorne of Smithfield, VA; and seven great-grandchildren.

She also leaves a wealth of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
